Main motor: transmits via a V-belt to the reducer: the reducer transmits through a coupling to the drive shaft, then by a pair of open gears, ensuring synchronous operation (equal speed but opposite direction) of the two rollers. The passive roller is supported by the piston of a hydraulic cylinder (in constant pressure systems, it's supported by an inclined wedge). System pressure is maintained by the hydraulic circuit, hydraulic control valves, and accumulators. Material enters the forming machine hopper uniformly from the storage bin through a metering device. The regulating gate on the hopper adjusts the material flow so that it enters evenly between the rollers. The counter-rotating rollers compress the material with unit forming pressure increasing from low to high. The forming pressure reaches its maximum value at the centerline of the rollers. After passing this line, the forming pressure decreases rapidly, allowing the material to pass through the de-ball state and successfully release the formed balls.
