Teething Q&A for Babies

The so-called teething refers to the process of deciduous teeth erupting through the gums. In most cases, babies start teething between 6-12 months, while some may begin as early as 4 months. In fact, teeth start developing as early as during pregnancy, they are just hidden inside the gums. There are extremely few cases where newborns are born with a pair of front teeth (usually the bottom ones). This situation is believed to be quite rare, and it’s unclear whether this pair of teeth is extra or if it might cause inconvenience, possibly affecting breastfeeding. If these teeth are loose, they could also pose a danger. It's uncertain whether in such cases the tooth should be extracted.
