The post was written in the tone of 400 fathers from Henan province. It stated that their children were mostly abducted by human traffickers or lured and forcibly taken away near Zhengzhou Railway Station, bus station, under flyovers, and on the side of roads. These children were sold to black kilns in Shanxi for 500 yuan each to do hard labor. Linfen City and Yongji City in Shanxi province are places where there are relatively concentrated kiln sites.
The post also described a successful rescue operation that had taken place not long ago. The scene was so touching: "We were stunned by what we saw. Among these children who used both hands and feet and whose hair was as long as a wild man's, some had been completely isolated from the outside world for seven years. Some were disabled because they failed to escape and were beaten. Some children were branded on the back with red-hot bricks by the foreman, and even after months of treatment in the hospital, they did not recover. They worked more than 14 hours a day and were not allowed to eat enough food. Sometimes, due to excessive fatigue, they would be slightly negligent and would be hit by a brick that the foreman randomly picked up, causing them to bleed profusely from head wounds. Then, they would simply be wrapped with a piece of old cloth and forced to continue working. As for being punched, kicked, and beaten with sticks, that was all too common. Even worse, some children who were seriously injured were not given medical treatment. If they could not heal on their own or if their condition worsened, leaving them barely alive, the heartless team leader and kiln owner would bury the deceived workers alive." The youngest of these children were only eight years old. For a full meal, eight-year-old children were so obedient and did heavy work every day that adults would find hard to bear. They were restricted in personal freedom and were patrolled and guarded by guards or thugs all day.
