Huangsongyu Township is located in the northeast of Pinggu District, Beijing. It can be reached directly via Shunping Road connected with Airport Expressway or via Shunping Road connected with Jing-Shun Road. It is 85 kilometers away from Beijing's Second Ring Road. It was opened to the public in 1999, underwent large-scale upgrading renovations in 2005, and reopened for business in April 2006. The Stone Forest Canyon in the east of Beijing has lush vegetation, fresh air, and a cool and pleasant environment. It is a natural scenic tourist area that integrates sightseeing, vacationing, and recuperation. The scenic area covers a total area of 12 square kilometers and is 6 kilometers long. It was named after the stone forest-like peaks standing upright and towering steeply within the scenic spot.
