CSDN has released the trial issue of the e-magazine "The World of Technical Managers". Below is the foreword of the trial issue:

Firstly, thank you for downloading this e-magazine. However, when you downloaded this magazine, you must have had many questions: such as, what is a technical manager? What content does this e-magazine focus on? Who is it suitable for?

In fact, the answers that can resolve these questions are also the purpose of this e-magazine. We hope to share our understanding with all readers. At the same time, we hope that you can share your understanding in the Web2.0 mode like the special planning of this issue.

Firstly, technical manager is a general term. I remember during my interviews with many technical managers, I found their business cards printed with the position of technical manager, and behind it was the explanation of "Technical Manager"; not only in IBM, but many companies also have such position explanations. Meanwhile, you can also see that the business cards of middle-level technical managers in some companies include titles similar to "Project Leader", "Project Manager", "Development Manager", "Test Manager". In addition to these people, some companies give certain technical architects or product architecture designers a role of "Architect". We believe that they can also be categorized into the scope of technical managers. Of course, the ultimate goal of all these technical managers is the CTO (Chief Technology Officer) that we often hear about, and in some companies, there will be an even higher position of Senior Vice President of Technology.

After saying so much, it's not hard to find that the common feature of the group we hope to focus on is working around technology. However, their work is not limited to technology; they need to pay attention to management, need to pay attention to products, which means they need to pay attention to business.

At the Software Heroes Conference hosted by CSDN not long ago, someone asked Tan Qunzhao, Vice President of Shanda and Chief Technology Officer, what a CTO should do? He said, "Talk about the importance of technology with the management team, and talk about the importance of business and management with technical personnel." I think this sentence vividly explains a truth: in today's technology-driven companies, the integration of business and technology requires a group of people to execute; and the growth of senior technical personnel having business awareness is equally indispensable.

Based on this understanding, this e-magazine will have its own media positioning. It does not focus on pure technical details, but on the trend analysis of technology; it does not intend to show boring tutorials, but lively stories and cases; it does not believe that technology can exist in isolation, but rather needs to interact organically with business.

Therefore, we take "viewing business from a technical perspective, viewing technology from a business perspective" as the idea of content planning for this publication. And bridging the gap between technology and business, becoming the favorite of senior technical personnel and technical managers, is the goal of "The World of Technical Managers".
