Mr. Li is not only a master of Feng Shui who "knows the geography below," but also an expert in selecting auspicious days, knowledgeable about "astronomy above."

In October 1992, I went to Chang乐e, Fujian Province, to investigate the graves Mr. Li had chosen for his clients. To my surprise, I discovered that he was also an expert in selecting auspicious days. During my interview with Mr. Huang, he told me a story about how Mr. Li had selected an auspicious day for the funeral of his father. The day Mr. Li had chosen for the funeral of Mr. Huang's father, as dawn broke, Mr. Huang knocked on Mr. Li's door with a worried look on his face, saying, "Master Li, it looks like it's going to rain heavily today. We've invited so many people to attend the funeral of my late father, and if it rains, it will be very inconvenient." Master Li calmly and confidently replied, "Just wait and see!" An hour later, Mr. Huang returned, overjoyed, telling Master Li, "Master Li! Master Li! It's sunny, it's sunny..." His previous worries immediately dissipated.

The ancient sages once said: "When heaven is not in season, the sun and moon lose their brilliance; when the earth is not in season, the grass and trees do not grow; when water is not in season, the wind and waves do not cease; when man is not in season, his fortune does not flow smoothly." The importance of choosing an auspicious day has been firmly believed by people throughout history. With the help of favorable timing, one seeks a good beginning and subsequent smoothness.

I myself am one of the beneficiaries of Mr. Li's expertise in selecting auspicious days. My personal experiences and insights have left me in awe. In April 2000, my father passed away. Due to my official duties, I asked Mr. Li to choose an auspicious day within ten days, from the fourth day of the ninth lunar month of the Gengchen year to the thirteenth day of the ninth lunar month, for my father's burial. Mr. Li asked me for the names and birth dates of my family members. After analyzing the four pillars (the Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches), he soon informed me that the ninth day of the ninth lunar month would be the most auspicious time for my father's interment.
