A Brief Discussion on the Mistake of "Yang Dragon Matches Yin Water, Yin Dragon Matches Yang Water"

The "Zhouyi: Shuo Gua" chapter, which is the first of the classic texts, states "The Way of Heaven is called Yin and Yang," "Qian represents the ruler, the father...," "Kun represents the earth, the mother...," as well as "Qian represents the horse..., Kun represents the ox...". The "Zhouyi: Xi Ci Zhuan" also says, "The Way consists of one Yin and one Yang..."

This proves that the "Yin-Yang Theory" originates from the "Zhouyi". Zhu Xi's distinguished disciple during the Song Dynasty, Cai Yuan Ding, wrote in the opening "Gang Rou" chapter of his "Fa Wei Lun": The "Yi" says "The Way of Heaven is called Yin and Yang", while Shao said "The Way of Earth is completed by the firm and the yielding... This means firmness contains yielding, and yielding contains firmness." In other words, Yang contains Yin, and Yin contains Yang.

Originally, based on the meaning of the "Zhouyi", all things in the world can be differentiated into Yin and Yang. For example, heavy is Yang, light is Yin; up is Yang, down is Yin; bright is Yang, dark is Yin; strong is Yang, weak is Yin; dominant is Yang, subordinate is Yin... etc.

The perpetrator (a person like Mr. Liu Feng Ran) says that the "Zhouyi" says "Qian is Yang, Kun is Yin", and also says "Qian is the horse, Kun is the ox". Does this mean that all horses under heaven are male? And all oxen are female?

In fact, for all things in the world, there are also perspectives, methods, and viewpoints. From the standpoint of Guo Yang Fengshui, using dialectical methods and materialist viewpoints, the dragon (mountain) belongs to Yang, and water belongs to Yin. This is because, as objectively stated in the original text of the "Zang Shu": "Earth is the mother of Qi, with earth there is Qi; Qi is the mother of water, with Qi there is water." That is, earth (dragon) generates Qi, and Qi generates water. The dragon is dominant, and water follows it, thus the dragon (mountain) belongs to Yang, and water belongs to Yin.
