It is said that April Fools' Day originated from a famous Greek mythological legend.

Demeter, the goddess of agriculture, is a well-known deity in Greece. She has boundless powers, capable of making the land fertile and bringing about bountiful harvests, but she can also cause fields to become barren and all things to wither. In the pantheon of Greek gods, she is also one of the most revered goddesses. Zeus, the king of all gods, is her brother, and also her husband. This identity alone is enough to make all gods bow at her feet.

However, the life of this powerful goddess was not perfect. Zeus, leveraging his position as the god-king, pursued many romantic liaisons, creating numerous scandals that brought endless troubles to Demeter. The only one who could bring joy into her life was Persephone, the daughter she had with Zeus. Persephone was an intelligent, beautiful, innocent, and lively girl. With her around, no one would feel sorrow or melancholy.
