Plastic Suction ROHS Environmental Issues

Currently, all developed countries require that products comply with the EU's ROHS environmental protection standards. Products containing or using the four heavy metals of cadmium (Cd), lead (Pb), mercury (Hg), hexavalent chromium (Cr6+), as well as polybrominated biphenyls (PBB) and polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE) as flame retardants in electronic and electrical appliances will not be allowed to enter the EU market. As packaging attachments for electronic products, thermoformed plastic packaging is no exception.

The materials PET, PS, and PP do not inherently contain these six toxic components, but manufacturers of film still need to conduct regular inspections and request environmental testing data from their raw material suppliers.

PVC materials generally have excessive lead content, but PVC sheet manufacturers can control the lead content through process improvements to meet ROHS requirements. This is what is known as environmentally-friendly PVC on the market, which is slightly more expensive.

The raw materials for thermoformed products are very simple, consisting only of film. As long as strictly tested film is used, the likelihood of the finished thermoformed product being non-compliant is very small...
