Descendants of the French army who invaded China plan to auction off a Qianlong jade seal

It seems that some Frenchmen's heads have really been kicked by donkeys. Before the auction of the water spout has come to an end, Beaussant Lefevre Auction House in France announced the other day that it will publicly auction a French general's estate at Delour Hotel in Paris on the 29th. The estate includes an item plundered from Yuanmingyuan: epoque Qianlong (Qianlong jade seal), with a starting price of 300,000 euros. This jade seal is about 9 x 10 cm in size, with two carved dragons and inscribed with the words "Jiouzhou Qing'an Zhibao" (Treasure of Jiuzhou Qingan) (phonetic translation). The owner is the descendant of General Eli Jean, Marquis of Vasonne, who was born into a military family in 1811.
