According to a survey by the World Health Organization, about 50% of girls, 20% of adult women and 40% of pregnant women suffer from iron deficiency anemia.

Iron deficiency anemia is a common disease in infancy, with an incidence rate as high as 20% to 38%. Women are prone to anemia due to physiological characteristics. Girls in puberty have vigorous growth and development, and their bodies have a high demand for iron. Combined with menstruation, they are likely to develop iron deficiency anemia. Pregnant and lactating women need to provide nutrients to the fetus or infant, which significantly increases the need for iron. If no extra supplementation is provided, anemia is almost unavoidable.
