No iPods or cell phones while crossing the street

Dear New York citizens, you are in for a treat! The omnipotent government is once again going to flex its public authority to protect your safety! Senator Carl Kruger will propose legislation to ban pedestrians from using MP3 players, mobile phones, or other electronic devices while crossing the street in New York and other "big cities." This proposal comes after two pedestrian traffic accidents that occurred in Kruger's constituency, with at least one confirmed to be related to the use of an iPod while crossing the street.

However, if the police can't even control jaywalking, let alone deal with little issues like iPods and mobile phones!

Latest news: Everyone is welcome to send their opinions to Senator Kruger's email.
