Ubuntu is a great open-source operating system based on Debian. Among non-Windows operating systems, Jarry has a particular fondness for Ubuntu. As such, he has willingly become an advocate and promoter of the open-source philosophy. For more information about Ubuntu, refer to the Ubuntu keyword section on SweetIT.net.
To experience the purest form of open-source power, Jarry applied for three Ubuntu 7.04 discs from the official source back in July 2007 (see the article "Receiving the Official Ubuntu Discs"). Since then, he embarked on the path of Ubuntu. A year later, with Ubuntu updating its major version every six months, it has already undergone two major updates, and the current version is now 8.04. Therefore, on June 11, 2008, Jarry applied for ten discs (the original text can be found in "Successfully Applying for Free Ubuntu Official Discs Again").
Last weekend, after much anticipation, the adorable mailroom staff finally delivered the ten Ubuntu 8.04 discs sent by the official team. Below are some pictures to share with everyone. If you also love open-source software and enjoy Ubuntu, you can fill out an application form on the official website. Attached: A comprehensive guide to applying for free Ubuntu discs. Alternatively, you can download the ISO disc image from the official website and burn your own installation disc.
