With the release of a new version, the older version will eventually be retired. Fedora 7 will stop receiving updates on June 13th (about a month after the official release of Fedora 9). During this time, the Fedora community has been dedicated to continuously releasing security and critical patches for Fedora 7, but the period of support is now nearing its end. After June 13th, no further security patches, bug fixes, or software updates will be provided for Fedora 7.
