Lenovo Preinstalls SUSE Linux Operating System on ThinkPad

According to Slashdot, Lenovo has struck a deal with Novell to pre-install SUSE Linux 10 on its ThinkPad T60p mobile workstations. Ironically, in July, Lenovo faced criticism from Linux fans after a company executive stated that the ThinkPad line would no longer support the Linux operating system. In response, Lenovo quickly made a 180-degree turn. Meanwhile, DELL stated that if a dominant Linux distribution or a flawless version of Linux emerges that most users desire, DELL would consider pre-installing it.
