RecordMyDesktop can help you create high-quality recordings with or without audio. You can configure the quality parameters of audio and video, frame rate of the recording, and cursor style. Additionally, you can choose to capture the entire screen or just the active window. Of course, compared to the numerous screen recording tools available on Windows, there are still many features that cannot be achieved, and there aren't enough customizable settings. However, it is considered one of the better options on Linux. The biggest regret is the lack of support for independent in-program recording, such as creating game videos.
