1. Version number: 4.10
Code name: Warty Warthhog
Published: October 2004
Warty Warthhog (Warty Warthhog) was the first distribution of Ubuntu, so called in the hope that it would be "warts and all" (right?). Publish. Why start with version 4? 4 represents the year it was released - 2004, or more precisely, October 2004. The tabletop is quite dark in color, orange-brown representing the tribes of South Africa. To its credit, Ubuntu has been an advocate of Live CDS from the start. The Live CD allows potential users to try Ubuntu without having to install it, and presumably no other Linux distribution is available to desktop users.
Important component versions:
Linux Kernel - 2.6.7
xfree 86-4.3.0.1
Gnome-2.8
