According to foreign media reports, AOL unveiled a completely revamped homepage design this Thursday. By allowing users to access their social networks and email accounts without having to jump between different sites, AOL aims to become the "hub" of internet users' online activities.

Just one month ago, AOL had updated its homepage once before, enabling users to check emails from other accounts without leaving the AOL homepage.

With the newly added "My Network" feature, users can directly log into Facebook, MySpace, Bebo, AIM, and Twitter from the AOL homepage and simultaneously post updates to all of them.

AOL Executive Vice President Bill Wilson stated in a press release that AOL is the first major traditional portal site to provide users with easy access to popular social networking services. Now, users can access multiple social networks and feeds right on AOL.com.

The RSS Feed Browser allows users to receive news from other websites, which will scroll in a window at the bottom of the AOL homepage.

Using the "Themes" feature, users can choose the color and background of the AOL homepage, making it more personalized.

Industry analysts have noted that this redesign of the homepage is part of AOL's strategy to transform itself and reposition as a popular one-stop portal site.
