After the suicide of South Korean actress Choi Jin-sil, the South Korean government and the ruling party actively started to revise laws regarding Internet problems. According to a report today by South Korea's Chosun Ilbo citing the country's Broadcast Communications Commission: "In order to prevent Internet side effects generated through anonymity, there are plans to implement the 'Revised Enforcement Decree of the Information and Communications Network Act' starting in November, which will expand the scope of websites that must adopt the 'limited real-name confirmation system'." The "limited real-name confirmation system" refers to a procedure where an individual is verified through their ID when leaving comments on portal sites.
