This is my first time writing a review, so greetings to everyone! I'll keep it concise, well-structured, and easy to read. Hehe.
Preamble: I fell in love with Lenovo from the I908 model. The I758 is my third Lenovo phone, and there will be more in the future.
1. Price: 680 yuan - this is the killer feature of this device.
2. Appearance:
The pictures shared by friends are clear. The screen area is black, the keyboard area is silver-gray, and the body frame is silver-white.
The back of the phone has 1/4 gray that matches the keyboard area, with fine textures. The camera and selfie mirror are vertically arranged, with two speakers on either side. The remaining 3/4 is black, with only the "Lenovo" logo visible. There are some subtle patterns and a raised design for easily opening the back cover. The back is almost symmetrical.
Overall impression: Simple and elegant. The body feels very compact except for the keyboard area. There are no shortcut keys on the frame, which gives a sense of completeness and restraint.
3. Keyboard:
The keyboard is arranged in 3 rows and 4 columns. The keys aren't large. There's a noticeable gap between the number keys, making them feel a bit wobbly. However, the key travel and feedback are excellent, reminiscent of Nokia phones. The "OK", "Back", "Call", and "End Call" buttons are symmetrically placed around the navigation key, making them large and comfortable. The navigation key is 5-directional, which I personally like.
4. Screen:
With 260,000 pixels on a 3-inch screen, the clarity is somewhat lacking. However, the color vibrancy and brightness are outstanding. If the screen remains still, it locks automatically quite quickly, which can be both good and bad.
Now let's talk about the software after discussing the hardware.
5. Camera:
300,000 pixels. Given this value, I'm satisfied with the results. If it claimed to have 1.3 million pixels, I believe most people wouldn't object. I haven't tried video recording yet.
6. Operating System: This is the core part of the phone, so let me explain it in detail.
The phone claims to have a 3D operating system, but in reality, it's just a 12-grid main menu displayed over two pages with a slight 3D effect when switching between them. Once in the main menu, you can navigate through the pages using the navigation key. Swiping left to right on the touchscreen flips pages, while swiping up to down returns to the previous level. However, this operation isn't universal once you reach the third-level menu.
The specific 12-grid layout represents common phone functions without any special features. However, the toolbox contains all the necessary tools. The operation response is rather slow, which is quite unsatisfactory.
City Navigation is a relatively unique option. However, the navigation files are as large as 240 MB, requiring direct download to a computer.
Phonebook capacity: 1000 entries, SMS capacity: 1000 messages.
Java performance is poor. Many Java apps compatible with models like 909 and 910 can be installed but not run, though I'm unsure if this is an isolated case.
There's a Lenovo online game that can be logged into but not played.
The music and video players continue Lenovo's style. They support fast forward and rewind, quick 8x speed and slow 50% playback for videos, screenshotting, and full-screen viewing. Audio supports MP3 files, and video supports AVI files. The playback function is decent overall, aside from limited format support.
E-book reading is pleasant due to the large screen. The font size is similar to size 5, but it cannot be changed. You can choose regular, italic, or bold fonts. Background color settings and backlight constancy are not available, but automatic page turning is supported. For manual flipping, you can only use the up and down keys, which can be hard on the keyboard. Fortunately, you can also scroll through the pages.
Bluetooth is included, with decent speed. Recording is possible, but I'm unsure if in-call recording is supported (I've never had this need).
Voice quality during calls is fairly clear, though occasionally you may hear your own voice.
Battery capacity: 1050mAh, which lasts me 5 days.
Summary:
The appearance is great, but the internal features could be better. If your needs mainly focus on calls, text messages, music, and e-books, this phone can fully meet those requirements (suitable for men).
