Although it is free, there will be some restrictions, such as call duration and mandatory advertisements.
Using it as an emergency backup is still acceptable. For instance, I once ran out of phone credit, but with the internet still available at home, I was able to order lunch! ^_^
1. Evaphone (Personally tested, absolutely useful!)
No registration or software download required. However, a 10-second advertisement will play before the call is connected. Additionally, Evaphone limits each IP address to make 2 calls per day, and the call duration may vary depending on the telecom operator.
2. YouCall
This is a web-based callback service. Fill in the caller and recipient numbers on the webpage, and the YouCall system will automatically callback these two numbers and connect them. This way, both the caller and recipient are being called, saving the caller's communication costs. You can make a 5-minute free call without registering as a YouCall user. If you register for free as a YouCall member, you can receive RMB 10 worth of call credit. They now have a simplified Chinese website.
3. MediaRing Talk
By registering for MRTalk, you can make unlimited free long-distance calls to eight countries and regions, including China. After registering your account, you can call landlines and mobile phones without restriction, but each call is limited to 10 minutes.
