Drinking Alone under the Moon
Li Bai
Among the flowers, a pot of wine,
I drink alone, no kinship to find.
I raise my cup to invite the bright moon,
And with my shadow, we become three.
The moon does not understand drinking,
My shadow only follows me around.
For now, I'll keep the moon and my shadow as company,
We must enjoy life while spring remains.
I sing and the moon lingers,
I dance and my shadow scatters.
Awake, we revel together,
Drunk, we part ways.
Forever bound by this carefree journey,
We look forward to meeting beyond the clouds.
