Spring Story:
Taifeng has returned to work at the law firm, and his relationship with Dazi has stabilized, receiving approval from both sets of parents. This should be a joyous occasion, but new challenges have arisen for the couple. Dazi is already 33 years old, and her mother and grandmother are anxious about when she will marry Taifeng, pressing her urgently on this matter. On the other hand, Taifeng's mother demands that Dazi not force Taifeng, who is in the midst of advancing his career, to marry her just because she is 33, leaving Dazi in a difficult position.
Dazi and Taifeng are both at a loss as to whether they should tell each other about their troubles. One day, Dazi returns to the company and suddenly sees Taifeng appear with Xiuzhen, only then realizing that Taifeng had been secretly handling the media merger case without telling her.
Subsequently, Dazi also sees in the law firm where Taifeng works, Xiuzhen leaning on Taifeng's shoulder, causing a heartbroken Dazi to turn away immediately. When Taifeng gets home, he discovers that Dazi is still upset with him, but he assumes it's because he didn't mention the merger case, so he apologizes to Dazi.
Dazi’s mother meets with Taifeng and explicitly expresses her hope that he will marry Dazi soon.
On the other side, Taifeng's mother hopes her son will be with the young and capable Xiuzhen, so she invites both Xiuzhen and Dazi over for dinner, deliberately hinting during the meal that Taifeng and Xiuzhen are a perfect match, making Dazi very sad. Xiuzhen even smugly tells Dazi privately that she and Taifeng will inevitably get married.
An upset Dazi goes back to her parents' house, learning that her mother had gone to pressure Taifeng into marriage without consulting her, which causes Dazi great distress, leading to an argument between her and her mother.
