The original name of Namsan, the symbol of Korean nation and Seoul, is Mian Mountain, which is called "Nanshan" because it is located in the south of the city. Due to its beautiful natural scenery, our ancestors built a pavilion in each valley, welcomed nature and wrote poems and painted here, living a romantic and elegant life. It is also for leisure and entertainment, and the footsteps of devout men and women keep appearing in this place. In the traditional garden of Nanshan Valley, the damaged terrain was reshaped according to its original shape, and the unique wild tree species of Nansan were planted; A stream was built so that water could flow naturally, and the pavilion and pond were repaired to form a traditional garden. On the 7,934 square meters of land on the northeast side of the garden, five Korean-style houses scattered in Seoul were relocated and rebuilt, and furniture was configured according to the status of their residents, reproducing the life of our ancestors. The Traditional Crafts Museum sells all year round the works of intangible cultural heritage craftsmen and tourist goods. To the west of the garden, the brook flows slowly, and an ancient pavilion was built around the garden, making people feel the charm of the free and easy life of our ancestors at the foot of Nanshan.
