As the sequel to the action movie "Xtreme Agent" which achieved great box office success in 2002, "Xtreme Agent 2" once again attracts fans' eager anticipation with its strong cast, vigorous and splendid action scenes, and cool and eye-catching super equipment. Due to the shift in political direction, a beloved US President is regarded as a thorn in the side by radicals within the government and has become a locked assassination target. Only the two protagonists in the movie can save the critical situation: one is Augustus Gibb (Samuel Jackson), who just escaped from the highest confidential headquarters of the National Security Agency and is evading pursuit; the other is Darius Stone (Ice Cube), a highly decorated special forces soldier who is currently imprisoned in a high-security military prison.

Augustus once guided an agent to complete a tough mission in the previous episode. This time, he and weapons expert Tony Lee Sheppard (Michael Ruff) were mysteriously pursued by assassins in the underground command center of the National Security Agency. Augustus suspects that these killers were dispatched by radicals inside the government, intending to overthrow the national regime. Therefore, he hopes to find an agent to expose the evil conspiracy of the rogue elements. This agent must not only possess extraordinary military qualities but also be absolutely loyal and have the keen insight of an outsider into the current rebellion situation. Although Augustus found the best candidate, Darius Stone, his dream agent was actually serving time in prison. Darius was imprisoned by military police for assaulting a superior officer. Augustus managed to help Darius escape successfully and persuaded him to take on the heavy responsibility of rescuing the president and the country in peril.

In the White House, the moderate President Sanford (Peter Strauss) has always had ideological differences with the radical Defense Minister George Dyke, who was once the superior of Augustus and Darius. When Dyke attended a government reception, Darius disguised himself as a servant and sneaked into the venue to try to gather internal information. At the banquet, Darius met Charlie Savishes (Sonya Eubanks), the daughter of a cabinet official, who later helped Darius escape from danger.

While Darius was carrying out his rescue mission, he was still being pursued by FBI agent Kyle Steele, who believed that Darius was an extremely dangerous criminal and wanted to make a name for himself. To complete the task, Darius found two partners who used to hang out with him on the streets of Washington. One was his ex-girlfriend Lola, who now runs a luxury car dealership, and the other was Chico, the owner of a modified car factory. They not only became Darius's capable assistants but also got him advanced weapons. President Sanford was kidnapped in the Capitol Building.
