Google may launch browser Chrome to challenge Microsoft's IE8

According to the Wall Street Journal on September 2, Google plans to release a web browser called Google Chrome to challenge Microsoft's IE browser. The newspaper quoted unnamed sources as saying that the browser is likely to be released soon. Google did not immediately respond to phone calls or emails for comment.
