Introduction to the three basic SEO tools:
1. Google Trends: http://www.google.com/trends/hottrends?sa=X
2. Keyword Suggestion: http://freekeywords.wordtracker.com/
3. DIGG: http://www.digg.com
How to use these three SEO tools?
1. Google Trends allows you to understand the search trends of certain words, similar to Baidu Hot Search List. However, most of the trending words may be temporary, meaning that once you optimize for them, people might stop paying attention. I select some words from it that I think are relatively easier to target, with fewer search results and lower competition. Then, I write an article based on these keywords which is very simple (though simple, it's original. Copyright is important for English websites, so never copy others' articles).
2. Keyword Suggestion is a tool similar to Baidu's related searches. It's great for understanding the search behavior of foreign users, and most importantly, it's free.
3. DIGG: In my view, its function is similar to ADMIN, CAOGEN.CC, CHINASEO.ORG.CN - it's a place where you can publish soft promotional articles. It can make your articles get indexed quickly and promptly. Most importantly, when users click on the article you posted on DIGG, they will be directed straight to your original article URL. In the first two days after setting up a website, most of the traffic comes from DIGG. Although the traffic is small, at least it's from foreign IPs.
