Rick has long since retired from his adventures and now lives a peaceful life with his wife Evelyn. However, their son Alex has inherited his father’s adventurous spirit and is constantly searching around the world for fantastical legends. Naive and inexperienced, Alex is tricked into entering a cursed emperor's tomb, awakening the dragon emperor who should have remained eternally asleep. When Alex encounters the so-called "mummy," all his courage vanishes, and he scrambles back to his parents, knowing only they know how to defeat the "undead."
It turns out that the Dragon Emperor was the most ruthless ruler in Chinese history, known for his cruel methods and bloodthirsty nature, which caused widespread resentment among the common people. A witch cursed him, turning him and his elite army of ten thousand soldiers into terracotta warriors, buried forever in the tomb and forgotten for countless generations. It wasn't until Alex accidentally broke the seal that this chilling terror resurfaced. The O’Connells, along with Evelyn's brother Jonathan, must stop the "mummy" awakened from a 2000-year-old curse, as the Dragon Emperor's ambition to rule the world grows stronger with each passing moment. This immortal emperor will awaken his subjects, forming an unstoppable army of mummies determined to bring the entire world under his terrifying and eternal rule... unless the O’Connell family can stop him first.
