The summer of 2005 felt like 1949, the year I finally said goodbye to the oppressive life of high school. The feeling of liberation, the liberated people, and the liberated desires all grew rampant together.
The sunlight in the city was not gentle at all. Skyscrapers stood tall, neon lights flickered, and alluring scenes were everywhere. I pedaled my bicycle, crazily weaving through the streets and alleys with my friends. Our shouts echoed through the buildings and soared into the sky.
