Lenovo has developed a computer product that will be sold exclusively in Brazil, according to a report citing Marcelo Medeiros, president of Lenovo's Brazilian subsidiary.

According to foreign media reports, 60 engineers from Lenovo's teams in Beijing, Sao Paulo, Brazil, and North Carolina, USA, participated in the project. Over a period of six months, they developed a computer intended to help Lenovo increase its market share among small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Brazil.

Lenovo anticipates that the proportion of revenue generated by SMEs at its Brazilian branch will rise from the current 20% to 40%.

Due to tax incentives, companies producing computers in Brazil can sell them at prices 10-15% lower than imported products. Medeiros stated that the Brazilian branch has already demonstrated to the company headquarters that the Brazilian market requires a computer product tailored to local conditions.
