From the above example, we can actually see the trajectory of our work: in our twenties and thirties, the pressure of life is still relatively small, our bodies are still in good condition, our parents are still healthy, we don't have children yet, we don't have to pay a mortgage, and we don't have to worry about college tuition. Being a white-collar worker in a foreign company seems very glamorous, even if we don't earn much, it's enough for our expenses. However, eventually, we will get married and have children, and we will grow old. By the time we are 40, our parents are old, they need medical care and medication, they need someone to take care of them, we have to pay off our mortgage, live a decent life, and raise our children... At that point, how much money we need to make to cover all these expenses becomes crucial. Therefore, when looking at our work, we need to think long-term; temporary highs and lows do not really mean much.
