In order to carry forward the traditional Chinese culture and promote cultural exchange between museums of China and Korea, Xi'an Beilin Museum contacted with Seoul History Museum in Korea actively. Taking advantage of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, it held an exhibition of modern rubbings of famous steles of Beilin in Seoul History Museum.
At the invitation of Seoul History Museum, Mr. Zhao Liguan, curator of Xi'an Beilin Museum, carefully selected 103 precious steles from more than 3500 stone collections in Xi'an Beilin, made them into rubbings, and personally came to Korea to participate in the exhibition. The exhibited works range from Qin, Han, Wei and Jin Dynasties, Northern and Southern Dynasties to Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties, from the national treasures of Sui and Tang Dynasties to the inscribed stones of Ming and Qing Dynasties. They include regular script, cursive script, official script and seal script, completely representing the collection system of Xi'an Beilin Museum.
