China Mobile and related equipment manufacturers have expressed that they are fully prepared to serve the Olympics. Currently, all major Olympic cities have completed the upgrade from TD-SCDMA to TD-HSDPA networks, with TD network speeds reaching over 1.6 megabits.
Previously, China Mobile has been wholeheartedly engaged in the construction and optimization of the TD-SCDMA network for over a year, and now provides 3G communication services in all Olympic cities. Additionally, China Mobile has prepared an ample supply of TD-SCDMA services, network cards, rich TD-SCDMA business content, and convenient TD-SCDMA rental services for the Beijing Olympics.
Meanwhile, TD system equipment manufacturer Potevio disclosed that as early as May this year, the Tianjin and Qinhuangdao TD-SCDMA networks constructed by Potevio had already completed the full network HSDPA upgrade according to China Mobile's requirements. The network performance has been further improved, and the rich 3G characteristic services have received more effective support. According to contract requirements, Potevio provided both Tianjin Mobile and Qinhuangdao Mobile with a complete set of wireless system equipment, including medium frequency remote base stations, second-generation BBU+RRU fiber-optic remote base stations, microcell base stations, RNCs, and OMC-Rs.
