The press conference of "Shanghai" was held in Bangkok, Thailand on August 1st. The director Mikael Hafstrom, producer Jake Myers and the main cast including Gong Li, Chow Yun Fat, Hollywood actor John Cusack, Japanese actress Rinko Kikuchi and actor Ken Watanabe all showed up.
Gong Li's figure was obviously plumper in a semi-transparent green dress. Her heavily made-up appearance had no trace of her former charm.
