Baidu announced the appointment of Junichi Inoue as President of its Japanese company.

Since 1998, Shunichi Inoue has served as the Chief Technology Officer at the renowned Japanese search engine Excite. He joined Yahoo Japan in 2004 and held various positions including Director of the Search Business Division and Vice President overseeing search-related operations, managing all search products for Yahoo Japan.

On August 1, Baidu announced that Shunichi Inoue will serve as the President of Baidu Japan, effective immediately from the date of announcement.

"Mr. Inoue has over a decade of experience in internet search business in Japan. Not only does he have a deep understanding of the development status of Japan's internet and search engine markets, but also possesses a broad international perspective and extensive experience in international enterprise management. His technical and product expertise will surely bring new vitality to Baidu Japan," said Robin Li, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Baidu.

Since 1998, Mr. Inoue served as the Chief Technology Officer at the well-known search engine Excite Japan, and joined Yahoo Japan in 2004. He has held various positions including Director of the Search Business Division and Vice President overseeing search-related operations, managing all search products for Yahoo Japan, making significant contributions to Yahoo becoming the market-leading search engine in Japan.
