Xinhua News Agency, Beijing, August 1 -- According to the National Seismic Network, at 16:32 on August 1, 2008, Beijing Time, a 6.1-magnitude aftershock occurred at the boundary of Pingwu County and Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, Mianyang City, Sichuan Province (32.1 degrees north latitude, 104.7 degrees east longitude), with a focal depth of about 20 kilometers.
No casualties have been reported so far from the aftershock in Pingwu, Sichuan, but there was some impact on communications
According to CCTV reports, this aftershock had a slight impact on local communications, but as of now, there have been no reports of casualties, property damage, or building collapses.
In addition, after this aftershock occurred, relevant contingency plans were immediately implemented locally, and the local residents' emotions are currently relatively stable.
