Online Xinhua Dictionary

Welcome to use the online Xinhua Dictionary. This dictionary contains more than 20,000 Chinese characters and over 540,000 words, making it the most comprehensive and professional online character database on the Internet today.

Based on the traditional methods of looking up characters in a dictionary, this system provides two basic search methods: Radical lookup method and Pinyin lookup method. Friends can choose according to their specific situation.

The explanations of Chinese characters include: Pinyin of the character, radical, Wubi code, detailed interpretation, related words, related idioms. Note: In the Wubi code, "Quan" represents the full Wubi code, and "Jian" represents the simplified Wubi code. In the stroke order coding, "123456" represent "horizontal, vertical, sweep,捺, fold" respectively. The Wubi code data of this system comes from Microsoft Wangma Wubi 86 version.

This system provides real-person pronunciation, standard stroke order demonstrations, and polyphone annotations for the commonly used 3000 Chinese characters. Word groups are given detailed annotations.
