On the 22nd, fisherman Yan Chunxing from Dongxiao Village in Jiangyin Town of Fuzhou caught a turtle on an isolated island in Dongxiao Village. After identification by relevant personnel from the Fujian Provincial Oceanic and Fisheries Bureau, this large turtle, over 1 meter long, with a back width of 0.7 meters and weighing 75 kilograms, was determined to be a Hawksbill Turtle, a second-level national protected animal. Around 8 PM on the 22nd, Yan Chunxing was fishing on an isolated island in the Dongxiao Village sea area. Suddenly, he saw a golden object floating on the water surface, mistaking it for a piece of wood, so he fished it out. Upon closer inspection, Yan Chunxing was greatly surprised—it was a large golden turtle. He quickly called two other fishermen, and the three of them together managed to lift the turtle onto the shore. They then kept it in a breeding pond at his home. The news that Yan Chunxing had caught a "thousand-year-old divine turtle" quickly spread throughout the village. Veteran fishermen from the village introduced that 60 years ago, someone had caught a similar turtle in this sea area. Judging from its length, back width, and weight, the age of this turtle is over 300 years.
