The Serbian President's office confirmed on the 21st that after hiding for 13 years, Karadzic, aged 63, was arrested. Karadzic has been charged with multiple crimes including "war crimes" and "genocide" by the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (hereinafter referred to as "ICTY"). He was the top suspect of ICTY and also considered as one of the most important fugitives globally. In the eyes of his enemies and Westerners, he was a butcher and a criminal.
