The luxurious "sky siheyuan" rented at an annual rent price, adjacent to the "Bird's Nest" and "Water Cube", with the 580-hectare Olympic Park right beneath it.
According to reports, in August Beijing not only gathered the world's top athletes but also the richest billionaires from around the globe, including former world's richest man Bill Gates. Gates rented a sky siheyuan less than 180 meters away from the "Water Cube" for himself. Just beyond the window lies the crystal blue "Water Cube" and the majestic "Bird's Nest", with the 580-hectare Olympic Park spread out below. According to the sales department of the residential complex "Pangu Seven-Star Hotel", Bill Gates spent 100 million yuan to rent this sky siheyuan for a period of one year.
A Giant Dragon "Captures" Gates
Within the core area of the Olympic zone, there is a dragon-shaped residential complex called "Pangu Seven-Star Hotel". Comprising five buildings, Pangu Seven-Star Hotel features a commercial building as its highest "dragon head", three apartment buildings in the middle, and the only seven-star hotel in Beijing as its "dragon tail". There is even a private helipad atop the dragon head. The five buildings are connected by a "dragon corridor" that is 411 meters long, 13 meters wide, and 15 meters high. Above the "dragon corridor" on the "dragon spine" are office buildings, apartments, 12 sky siheyuans, and the hotel. This residential complex stands on Beijing's central axis, not only becoming a new landmark in the area but also catching the eye of Bill Gates, who decided to spend his Beijing Olympics journey here.
An Annual Rent of 100 Million Yuan
It is understood that each sky siheyuan in Pangu Seven-Star Hotel covers an area of about 700 square meters, priced at approximately 90,000 yuan per square meter. However, these siheyuans are only available for rent, so Bill Gates can only lease one. "We do not offer short-term rentals; the minimum rental period is one year, and the rent is 100 million yuan," explained Ms. Yi from the sales department of Pangu Seven-Star Hotel. It is reported that many wealthy individuals have already placed orders. "Bill Gates has already paid the rent, but I cannot disclose the names of other clients. Some customers have already moved in."
