Want to communicate with "aliens"? The famous Aztec cultural site, the "Pyramid of the Sun," in Mexico will become the latest channel. Yahoo! is about to launch a novel activity called the "Time Capsule" — from October 25th to 27th, all kinds of digital information sent by people around the world, including texts, images, and other materials that "reflect human life in 2006," will be transmitted into outer space via a laser beam at the top of the Mexican pyramid, reaching out to extraterrestrials.
Starting on October 10th, Yahoo! launched a website named "Yahoo Time Capsule" to accept various forms of records submitted by people worldwide through the internet. These include texts, photos, paintings, videos, sounds, and any other materials that can "digitally reflect all aspects of human life in 2006."
From October 25th to 27th, these digitized pieces of information will be converted into laser beams and transmitted into space from the top of the "Pyramid of the Sun," an Aztec cultural site located in the ancient city of Teotihuacan in central Mexico, with the hope of communicating with aliens.
