Broadway Musical "Aida" Lands in China

The globally-renowned Broadway modern rock musical *Aida* will grandly premiere at the Shanghai Meiqi Grand Theater on September 25th, kicking off its first China tour in the golden autumn of Shanghai.

This production of *Aida*, presented jointly by the U.S.-based Nederlander Global Entertainment and the Shanghai Dong Shanghai International Culture and Film Group, is adapted from Verdi's timeless opera. It is an authentic American Broadway musical that rivals the 2006 Shanghai production of *The Lion King*, which ran for over 100 performances.

The Broadway musical *Aida* is a spectacular collaboration between modern music legends Elton John and Tim Rice, the same duo behind Disney's *The Lion King*. With their contemporary flair, they transport audiences back to ancient Egypt through a grand love epic.
