On the morning of November 1st, according to a recent report from market research firm J.D. Power on consumer satisfaction with U.S. tablets, Samsung's tablet received a score of 835 points, surpassing Apple's score of 833 points (out of a total of 1000 points), placing it at the top of the market. However, both companies received five-star ratings.

This report indicates that Apple's tablets particularly excel in performance and ease of use, while Samsung improved across all five factors considered by J.D. Power, showing a clear advantage in pricing. The survey found that 50% of consumers received advice on tablets from family and friends, while 49% referred to manufacturer website information.

Apple has previously used data from J.D. Power's reports in its marketing materials. However, after being surpassed by Samsung this time, this situation may change.
