Mobile analytics company Localytics stated on Monday that the iPhone 5S and 5C accounted for 5.5% of all iPhone activations.
The iPhone 5S made up 3.8% of all iPhone activations, while the iPhone 5C contributed 1.7%. The iPhone 5 accounted for approximately 40% of all iPhone activations.
Japan was the country with the highest proportion of iPhone 5S and 5C activations at 10%; the United States ranked second with 6.4%. According to Localytics, by September 26, the iPhone 5S and 5C together represented 2% of iPhones in use in the U.S., compared to 1.4% on September 22.
There are significant differences in the sales of the iPhone 5S and 5C across different countries. In Germany, the sales ratio of the iPhone 5S to 5C was 87:13, whereas in the U.S., this ratio was 67:33.
