An American man's HTC phone blocks a bullet from a thug
According to Xinhua News Agency, an employee at a gas station was shot at by a thug on the 28th, but fortunately, his mobile phone blocked the bullet for him.
The police of Winter Garden City, Florida, USA, said that an employee was shot by a robber, but thanks to his mobile phone blocking the bullet, he only suffered minor injuries.
At around 4:30 on the 28th, a male robber entered the convenience store at the gas station, pulled out a gun, and demanded two employees open the safe, but neither of them could. The robber fired a shot and then fled the scene.
The UK's Daily Mail quoted Officer Scott Allen as saying that one employee told the police during questioning that he "felt chest pain." Medical personnel then examined him and found that he had been hit by a bullet, but his mobile phone had blocked it.
This employee took out his HTC phone from his pocket and discovered that a bullet was embedded in the phone screen.
Allen said, "I have seen people being hit by small caliber pistol bullets, some of whom died because of it, but this gentleman was very lucky; today is a good day."
