Held annually, the "China Samsung Cup" football tournament is a traditional corporate event organized by Samsung China to promote corporate culture and enhance employee teamwork. This year marks the 10th edition since its inception in 2013.
Since entering China in 1992, Samsung China has established over 160 institutions in the country, employing more than 110,000 people. Its business spans electronics, finance, trade, heavy industry, construction, chemicals, apparel, wool textiles, advertising, and many other fields.
Uniting Samsung entities spread across the nation has always been one of the management challenges for Samsung China. To address this, Samsung China organizes a variety of corporate cultural activities that allow employees to experience firsthand the organizational culture of "One Samsung." Besides the football tournament, other representative group-level activities include the "Choir Competition" and "Samsung Talent Show."
In addition, to strengthen daily communication, Samsung China launched an internal broadcast system. The internal broadcasts are television programs produced and aired by Samsung China itself. They cover main news from related companies within the Samsung group, introductions to various legal entities, Samsung values and key operational statuses, global hot topics and brand stories, office exercises programs, and meditation programs for stress relief, among others.
President of Samsung Greater China, Jang Won-ki, stated that the most effective way to convey knowledge and information is through video media. "Every time an employee watches the internal broadcast, it means we are moving towards the same goal and pursuing the same dream." (Liang Luo)
