While Tesla is still considering whether to install an Android emulator in its cars, Hyundai and Kia, the two brands under the Korean automotive manufacturer Hyundai Kia Automotive Group, have already taken action. It is reported that the company will equip its entire product line with an integrated Android platform before 2014.
According to Korea's ETNews, Kia's UVO 2.0 smart navigation system based on the Android platform will have an app store, and this system can also connect with iOS and Android smartphones to launch some multimedia apps.
Kia first released this navigation software back in 2012, but it wasn't until the release of the 2014 Kia Sorento model that this software officially launched. The upcoming Hyundai Genesis and Kia Soul, set for release at the end of 2013, will both be equipped with this system.
