Patent shows Samsung plans to launch glasses similar to Google Glass

A design patent registered with the South Korean government reveals that Samsung is designing a pair of glasses device.

Earlier this year, Samsung submitted design drawings of this glasses device in a memorandum. The memorandum shows that this glasses device, which comes with headphones, connects to a smartphone and can alert the user when a message is received on the phone. Users can take calls and listen to music while exercising, allowing them to conveniently operate their phones even during physical activity. The lenses of the device are either transparent or semi-transparent.

From the description in this patent, it is evident that the functions of this glasses device are quite similar to those of Google Glass, currently under development by Google. However, Samsung's glasses device appears to have a more "sporty" look.
