Sony Wireless Lens Spy Photos Exposed
Today, the Sony information website SonyAlphaRumors has exposed the latest spy photos of a new Sony wireless lens module. These two products can be mounted on smartphones and tablets, with built-in NFC or Wi-Fi functions.
Last month, insiders revealed that Sony would release a new wireless lens module, which could connect to smartphones and tablets. The models of these two products are DSC-QX10 and DSC-QX100 respectively, featuring an integrated Bionz high-speed image processor, NFC or Wi-Fi functions, and an SD card slot. Cameras equipped with these two lens modules lack a display screen and operation menu; instead, they operate by connecting to smartphones and tablets.
According to SonyAlphaRumors, Sony will soon release these two lens modules. One of the products features a Zeiss lens with an RX100MII sensor, while the other is equipped with an 18 million pixel CMOS image sensor. Both products can be operated through Android and iOS devices.
Prior to this, SonyAlphaRumors had mentioned that users would be able to mount the lens module on their phones, and Sony would release an application to enhance the user experience. Currently, the price of the available Sony Zeiss lens with the RX100MII sensor is about $750. It is expected that the price of the upcoming new lens module will be higher than most previous similar products, but the exact price is still unclear at present.
