On August 12, Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. filed a lawsuit against Beijing Qihoo Technology Co., Ltd. and Qihoo 360 Software (Beijing) Co., Ltd. for unfair competition, claiming that the "Block Baidu Ads" plug-in provided by the 360 Browser constituted unfair competition. Currently, the Dongcheng District Court of Beijing has accepted this case of unfair competition.

The plaintiff, Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd., claims that the two defendants offer the "Block Baidu Ads" plug-in to Internet users through the 360 Extreme Browser, 360 Safe Browser, and their websites, engaging in a series of unfair competitive behaviors targeting the plaintiff. When users use the 360 Extreme Browser or 360 Safe Browser to log onto the "Baidu Search" website, input keywords for searching, this plug-in removes the promoted links at the top and bottom of the Baidu search results page, as well as all content on the right side.

The plaintiff argues that the actions of the two defendants constitute unfair competition against the plaintiff, causing economic losses. The plaintiff requests the court to order the two defendants to immediately cease their unfair competition against the plaintiff, publish an apology statement, compensate the plaintiff for economic losses of 500,000 yuan, and cover reasonable expenses of 100,000 yuan incurred in stopping the infringement.
